Add Staff and Assign Services

When to use this

Use this when you need to:

  • add your first team member
  • assign services to staff
  • make staff bookable in the calendar and public booking

Before you start

  • At least one service should already exist.

Steps

  1. Open /staff.
  2. Create a new staff member.
  3. Enter the basic details.
    • name
    • role
    • phone if needed
  4. Assign one or more services to the staff member.
  5. Set working hours.
  6. Save the record.

What happens next

  • The staff member appears in staff management.
  • The staff member can appear in appointment creation and scheduling.
  • If active and assigned, the staff member can support booking availability.

Best practice

  • Keep services tightly assigned.
  • Do not assign every service to every staff member unless they actually perform them.
  • Set working hours before relying on availability.

Common issues

Staff does not appear in booking or appointment flows

Check:

  • the staff member is active
  • at least one service is assigned
  • working hours exist

Public booking is still disabled

Make sure there is at least one active staff member in the business.

Availability looks wrong

Check:

  • staff working hours
  • blocked time
  • overlapping appointments
