Block Time on the Calendar

When to use this

Use this when you need to mark time as unavailable for:

  • the whole business
  • a specific staff member

Where to do this

Open:

  • /calendar

What blocked time affects

Blocked time prevents bookings from being created in those periods and should remove those times from availability.

Steps

  1. Open the calendar.
  2. Start the block-time flow.
  3. Choose whether the block applies to:
    • the business
    • a specific staff member
  4. Select the date and time range.
  5. Add a reason if needed.
  6. Save the block.

What happens next

  • The blocked period appears in calendar availability logic.
  • Appointment creation should reject overlapping selections.
  • Public booking should not offer blocked times.

Common issues

Blocked time does not seem to apply

Check whether the block was created for:

  • the business
  • or a specific staff member

Existing appointments are still visible during blocked time

A block prevents new booking overlap, but it does not automatically remove previously created appointments.

I cannot delete or change a block

Confirm you are editing the correct day, staff filter, and time range.
